Aquavit Lemon Spritz

1½ oz Hardware Distillery Aquavit
½ oz lemon simple syrup*
2 oz soda water
Using a small glass, combine the Aquavit and lemon simple syrup over ice. Add the soda water.

Combine and heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, strain. Let cool. Add juice from lemon to taste.
Makes about 2 cups. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks. (The zest can be dried on rack, then tossed in sugar for candied zest.)

1½ oz Hardware Distillery Aquavit
½ oz Cinnamon simple syrup*
2 dashes Orange Bitters
Chill before serving.
Garnish with an orange peel.

*Combine ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar, and 3 cinnamon sticks.
Cook until sugar dissolves. When cool, remove cinnamon sticks.
The leftover simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for about one week.

½ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
½ oz. simple syrup
½ oz. lingonberry syrup (available at IKEA)
1-2 drops of peach bitters (Fee Brothers or other brand)

** Stir and serve over ice. **

Fjord Mist

Fill old-fashioned glass (or similar glassware) with ice, and add:

1½ parts Hardware Distillery Dill Aquavit
½ part Elderflower Liqueur, such as St. Germain
2 parts juice from fresh cucumbers
½ part simple syrup
Add club soda
Cucumber slice to garnish

Hardware Hot Chocolate

Fill your favorite mug with hot chocolate
Add 1 shot of Hardware Cardamom Aquavit
Add 1 shot of Hardware Hwy 101
Gently stir the hot chocolate and spirits
Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top*

*For a spicy variation, sprinkle ground cayenne with the cinnamon

Sugar cube

Splash of Becherovka

Orange segment (blood orange, if available)

2 oz. Hardware Distillery Aquavit

Ice

Splash of water

Directions:

Place the sugar cube on a tea plate. Cover the sugar cube with Becherovka and soak the sugar cube until softened. Place the sugar in the glass with the orange and muddle lightly, crushing the softened sugar, but lightly bruising the orange. Add ice and Hardware Distillery Aquavit. Top with a splash of water. Garnish with orange.
